How much should my knee bend?

The amount a knee will bend after surgery is different for each patient and is most dependent on the amount of bend there is prior to the surgery.  Those with normal motion or >120-130 degress should get most of this back.  Others with less motion, may or may not see an increase in the amount of bending.

Some patients may develop stiffness after surgery and if it is severe, may even require further procedures to try and correct this problem.  Unfortunately some patients do end up with significant stiffness after surgery.  This a problem that is hard to correct.
